Nagol goes back nearly 15 centuries, long before the world’s first commercial bungy operation opened. It involves local men and boys on Pentecost Island in Vanuatu who jump from a manmade tower with a vine secured around their legs, aiming to touch the ground with their shoulders. An annual ritual between April and June each year.
Kava is a popular drink in the South Pacific and an integral part of most ceremonies. Vanuatu has the strongest variety of this, the world’s only legal narcotic; natural alternative to drugs and alcohol.
It is also a common herbal product used to reduce anxiety, stress, insomnia, and to improve one's mood.
